Heather Locklear Biography

Heather Deen Locklear was born September 25, 1961 at 5:40pm-PST in Canoga Park, California, a suburb of Los Angeles, USA.

Her parents are Bill & Diane Locklear. Bill is director of the career placement office at UCLA and Diane was a homemaker and is now an administative assisant at Disney.

They have four children and Heather is the youngest. She has two sisters, Laurie and Colleen and one brother, Mark.

Heather graduated from Newbury Park High School in Newbury Park, California. From there she went on to attend college, for a short while. During her collegiate days at UCLA, she started modelling for the school store. And basically, that's all it took...the bug was caught and off she went to Hollywood!

She was previously romantically linked to the following Hollywood Hearthrobs: Scott Baio Tom Cruise Mark Harmon

But she ultimately turned to her romantic interests to rock and roll....She married rocker Tommy Lee of the rock group Motley Crue in 1986 and that marriage lasted until 1993. After their divorce, she married rocker (theme here or what?) Richie Sambora of the rock group Bon Jovi on December 17, 1994. On October 4, 1997, she gave birth to her first child, a girl, Ava Elizabeth. She has two dogs. One of her dog's names is Kitty, whom is a Yorkie dog. Her other dog is a Matese dog named Harley. She is 5' 5" tall, 34B, and a size 2 dress (Heather confirmed on FAN-atic on MTV in 1999).

Heather Locklear joined ABC’s Spin City in the Fall of 1999. Another ABC show, Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, desperately wanted her, too. "I’m sure she had offers to develop her own show, as well," says Spin executive producer David Rosenthal. The lowdown: DreamWorks, which produces the show, and ABC drew up a shortlist of women to play campaign manager Caitlin Moore, a foil for Michael J. Fox, the mayoral aide on the show. The idea was that the mayor would run for the Senate (mirroring Rudolph Giuliani’s likely race against Hillary Clinton) and that this female politico would invade Fox’s turf. "Heather was at the top of that list," says Rosenthal. The lucrative deal calls for her to be in every episode next season. Will there be romance between the two? "At first, there’ll be a lot of hostility," says Rosenthal. "But who knows where that will lead?"

Heather Locklear and Sean "Puffy" Combs hosted the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards, which aired December 5, 1999 at New York's Armory.

Heather received a nomination for a Golden Globe Award by The Associated Press in the TELEVISION category for BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS. The show was aired on January 23, 2000. Unfortunately, Heather did not win.

Michael J Fox has bid his farewell to Spin City. What does this mean for Heather??? A new leading man...Charlie Sheen is slated to be the next 'Deputy' Mayor of NYC. Heather is not too happy, in agreeing to do the TV Show apparently Mr Sheen had it written in his contract that filming will be done in Los Angeles, so either Heather, Richie, and Ava will be moving again, or Heather will be commuting back to LA for filming!

The newest ABC ads are running in preparation for the Fall season. Heather looks absolutely gorgeous...Charlie Sheen...bummer we lost Mike!
Heather Locklear signed a deal to remain with the ABC comedy for another year, greatly increasing its chances of returning for a sixth season. ABC is still talking with producer DreamWorks Television about renewing ``Spin,'' but with Locklear and fellow star Charlie Sheen both wrapped up, insiders believe it's very likely the two sides will be able to agree on terms for a pickup shortly. Despite the departure of star Michael J. Fox, ``Spin'' has managed to post solid ratings for ABC on Wednesday nights.

During the summer of 2001, Heather toured with Bon Jovi through Europe.

Golden Globe Awards (January 2002) - Heather Locklear, nominated for her role in Spin City, wore a glittering minidress from Celine to show off her great gams. Its too bad she didn't win so that we could have gotten some great pictures of that outfit! In a stunning upset, Charlie Sheen, Heather's fellow actor on SPIN CITY won the award for Best Actor, go figure!!!!!

The Rumours were true...Spin City has been cancelled. A bit surprising after Charlie took home the Golden Globe award....anyway, Heather is rumoured to be excited about the possible break and the chance to be a mother again. She and Richie are apparently trying for baby #2! But don't fret, Heather has another 2 years on her contract with ABC, so she will most likely be back working on another show sometime real soon!
